On Sunday 28th April at 6pm the 2024 series of Harford Special Spaces started with a traditional Rogation service, where the congregation walked around the ancient churchyard of St Petroc’s, thinking and praying about the wonders of creation and our part in stewarding our environment. A birch tree, planted to mark the retirement of Rosemary Howell after 25 years of service, was blessed and then a celebratory party followed, with drinks and nibbles in the church. The churchyard, and particularly the area where the birch was planted, had been tidied up by parishioners prior to this event.
